Are there risks and complications to a breast lift surgery?
Typical surgical complication, such as bleeding and infection, can occur although certainly not common. The location and extent of scars can vary depending on the type of lifting technique. Typically, they may be around the nipple area and the crease of the breast. Most people will end up with reasonable scars although sometimes the incisions do not heal as well as expected. If implants ae used, there can be complications assosciated with implants as well, such as deflation, rupture and capsule formation.
How long do the results last?
This is not easy to predict. There are many factors that affect the duration of the results. They may include: skin quality, weight of breasts, weight gain or loss, etc. Most patients are very happy with the improvement of the shape of their breasts.
How much does breast lift surgery cost?
This will depend on the extent and hence the technique of the lift and whether breast implants are used for the lift. It can range from around $6000 to $8000, including surgical, operating room, and anesthesia fees.

Restoring the previously beautiful and full contour of the breasts is the goal of many women. Over time, and often as the result of pregnancy and breast feeding, the shape and volume of the breasts change. Breast lifts, or mastopexy, offer a way to correct this problem.
