How long do the results last?

Permanent, but gravity/skin changes/weight changes may change shape/size of breast. Usually, however, someone who maintains a steady weight and has a nice result will not likely need any revisions for at least 5-15 years.

Loss of nipple/areolar/skin viability, Infection, Bleeding, Abnormal scarring, Residual asymmetries and contour irregularities, Loss of nipple/areolar/breast sensation, Nipple height (too high/too low) and nipple areolar shape size problems, Not achieving stated goal size (for reduction mastopexies), Anesthesia complications up to and including death, Deep venous thrombosis/pulmonary embolism, Pneumonia, the possible need for revisional (corrective) surgeries for any or all complications, and insurance may not pay for charges related to hospitalization/other charges for complications related to cosmetic surgery.
