1. Are the results from a breast lift permanent?
In many cases, yes. But breast lifts can be adversely affected by future pregnancies, weight loss, and the effects of gravity over a long period of time.
2. Why would I want a breast lift?
If you are unhappy with the shape of your breast and a nipple that points downward, then a breast lift may be for you.
3. What should I expect during breast lift surgery?
Breast lift surgery, when done without an implant, causes very little pain after surgery. There will be an immediate uplifting of the breast seen.
4. Where will the surgery most likely take place?
Breast lift surgery is done as an outpatient and is usually performed in a surgery center.
5. When can I return to work and strenuous activity?
Within one week after surgery for a sit down job and two weeks for a more strenuous position.
6. Will I require any blood transfusions during breast lift surgery?
This is never necessary. There is no instance in cosmetic plastic surgery where blood transfusions are ever needed.
7. Is it possible to have insurance cover for my breast lift surgery?
No. Breast lifts are cosmetic procedures with no medical insurance benefits.
